Patricia A. Palmiotto Business & Society Fund

In celebration of Pat’s immeasurable impact on the Tuck and Upper Valley communities, the Patricia A. Palmiotto Business & Society Fund will prepare business leaders for the evolving complexities of today’s global economy.

Pat embodied the spirit and mission of Tuck and relished the opportunity to make a difference in the world. She joined Tuck in 1994 as director of student affairs and served in this role until 2001 when she was appointed executive director of the Allwin Initiative for Corporate Citizenship, a role that combined her deep interest in education with a passion for social impact. In 2012 she enthusiastically took the reins of the newly-created Center for Business & Society. She remained with the center—a predecessor to today’s Center for Business, Government & Society—until 2015 and played an active role in its success.

Many of Tuck’s hallmark programs at the nexus of business and society, including TuckGIVES and the Business & Society Conference, owe their vibrancy to Pat’s vision and commitment. She was a source of great support for students as they explored careers and board service in the non-profit space. The new fund will support students who are entering roles in the non-profit sector through grants and support of directly-related programs.

The specific terms of the fund, including provisions for alternate uses, are outlined in this statement of purpose. For questions, please reach out to Center for Business, Government & Society program manager, Hannah Payson.
