Mission & Vision
The Center for Business, Government & Society empowers business leaders to navigate immediate stakeholder interests and the broader, deeply intertwined interests of both governments and society to help build a more sustainable global economy and contribute to the common good.
Business leaders are increasingly incorporating social and environmental impact into strategic, operational, and financial decisions. Social and public sector organizations are a large and influential part of the global economy and are increasingly partnering with businesses and/or adapting business practices to improve performance and address social challenges. Indeed, creating long-term value requires an ability to navigate tension and complexity between competing interests and values, collaborate across sectors and disciplines, and understand and address global challenges, the scale and scope of which cannot be solved by any one sector. Wise leaders must understand the impacts of business on society, the constraints of each sector, and how to work effectively across them.
